Applied Scientist II - Mixed Reality, Spectre AI (Artificial Intelligence) Team
In Mixed Reality, people—not devices—are at the center of everything we do. Our tech moves beyond screens and pixels, creating a new reality aimed at bringing us closer together—whether that’s scientists “meeting” on the surface of a virtual Mars or some yet undreamt-of possibility. To get there, we’re incorporating diverse groundbreaking technologies, from the revolutionary Holographic Processing Unit to computer vision, machine learning, human-computer interaction, and more. We’re a growing team of talented engineers and artists putting technology on a human path across all Windows devices, including Microsoft HoloLens, the Internet of Things, phones, tablets, desktops, and Xbox. We believe there must be a better way. If you do too, we need you!
The mission of the Spectre AI team is to make fundamental contributions to advancing the state of the art in Geospatial AI, including developing foundation models for aerial object detection, tracking and geolocation, and building an end-to-end AI pipeline using cutting-edge ML (machine learning) techniques and systems optimization. We conduct applied research and integrate our AI solutions on real customer data to deliver high-value and high-impact solutions. We are an extremely agile team that moves fast from ideas to experimentation, and to product development. If you are passionate about exploring cutting-edge ideas and real-world product impact at the same time, this job is for you. We are looking for a motivated Applied Scientist II to come and join us in delivering the next wave of AI experiences.
Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more.
