We, the BMW Group, offer you an interesting and varied PhD program in the area of Benchmarking Generative AI. Work with us on turning science fiction into reality with industrial applications of latest advances in machine learning, computer vision, natural language processing and human interaction. We are extending our team of experienced AI developers with a PhD student in this rapidly developing field at the crossroads of AI, specifically Generative AI, machine learning, linguistics and general computer science.
What awaits you?
- As a PhD student (f/m/x) you will work on an exciting project at the intersection of Generative AI, machine learning, natural language processing and computer vision. The goal of this research will be to develop advanced benchmarking algorithms for evaluating the performance of systems based on Generative AI in the context of in-car human-machine interaction.
- You will develop advanced algorithms and applications with a particular focus on highly automating human evaluation and testing of in-car human-machine interaction.
What should you bring along?
- Excellent Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering, computational linguistics or a comparable qualification.
- Expert programming skills in Python 3 as well as substantial experience with TensorFlow or PyTorch, Sklearn, Docker, Spacy, OpenCV and other relevant frameworks.
- Extensive experience in developing software testing frameworks.
- Practical experience in Project Management.
- Extensive knowledge of deep-learning techniques and frameworks, with a focus on natural language processing and/or computer vision.
- Business-fluent English. German proficiency is a plus.
